Hollywood actor RYAN PHILLIPPE is set to spend Christmas in Australia meeting his girlfriend's family.

The Cruel Intentions star has been dating actress Abbie Cornish since his split from ex-wife Reese Witherspoon in 2006.

And now after spending the Thanksgiving holiday last month with his two children by Witherspoon, Phillippe has flown to Australia to enjoy a romantic festive break with his partner, meeting her extended family in the country.

Phillippe's kids with Witherspoon - Ava, nine, and Deacon, five - will spend the holidays with their mother and her actor boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal in Los Angeles and Tennessee, according to New York Post gossip column PageSix.
